Discouraged Moms' Devotions to Go

From the Author

Feeling overwhelmed? Stressed? Does it seem like there's never enough time for you to do the things you really want to do? If you answered 'yes' to even one of those questions, this devotional is for you.

I bared my soul in this devotional and I did so to help women who oftentimes find life unfulfilling and stressful. This faith-journey is one I've traveled on more than one occassion.

I found myself at a crossroad. I could continue status quo and risk my health or I could listen to my body and simplify. I asked myself some very soul-searching questions. What are my dreams and goals? What have I always wanted to do that’s never been accomplished?

Once I began looking inside and answering these questions honestly, God led me on a journey to discovering my authenticity and in doing so, I uncovered and achieved my forgotten dream...writing.

My ultimate writing aspiration is to share God’s wisdom with women who are tired and worn, offering them the hope and joy that God gave me through other Christian women and, ultimately, through His Word. I want to help women find and follow God’s calling for their lives.

I encourage you to take this 30-day journey to becoming an authentic woman - to becoming the woman God wants you to be.

May God bless you as you walk hand-in-hand with him.

Excerpt from Discouraged Moms' Devotions to Go

How did life get so complicated, cluttered, and fast-paced? When did women start the balancing act of being a wife and mother, employee and volunteer, chauffeur and errand-runner? In today’s society, women, especially mothers, do too much. She spends her days stuck in traffic jams and grocery store lines, running endless errands, and then chauffeuring kids from activity to activity. Meanwhile, piles of laundry, dirty dishes, and hungry mouths await her at home every evening. The “to-do” list never seems to end and most days leave little time for her; sometimes even a bubble bath seems a lofty goal.

Overworked and overwhelmed for so long, many women have forgotten, beyond getting married and raising families, the things that they wanted to do in life. These women sincerely desire God’s best for their lives and long to feel passionate about being a wife and mother, yet they are exhausted and worn-out, and lack energy and joy. Does this sound familiar? Are you an overwhelmed and discouraged woman who longs to regain her zest for the abundant life? If so, then read on.
